Why The Stench?

I had this experience sometimes ago. I went to work one fateful day, at my moms shop, there was a stench. I was bemused, oh my God. What is this? Where is it coming from? I rhetorically asked. I checked but couldn’t trace from whence it came. 

After few days, it became severe. I had to do a scrupulous search and with the help of the Holy Spirit i found it. “the cause of the stench”. It was a big fat rat that had died and it was decaying already. Of course, the saprophytic organisms were acting on it. I was shocked, then I took it out.

What amazed me was the fact that, immediately i took it out, “the stench vanished”. Friends, this is how we stink when we harbour secret sins in our hearts and lives. Yes, you may look beautiful or handsome on the outside but you stink. “sin makes you stink” Are you reading this and you realize that, there’s something that has messed you up big time on the inside? 

You’re a fornicator while a fellowship president. You steal, lie and you even masturbate. You’re a porn addict but you sing in choir. Please know today that you stink. The devil keeps telling you. You dare not take me out all you can do is to cover me with “BLANKETS” which you consented. You covered it with blankets of false humility. Blankets of church activities, blankets of tonguing. You stink! You need to kick it out, that old serpent. Any sinful habit you harbour has the capacity to make you stink no matter how good on the outside you’re. It’s a threat to your relationship with Jesus  and your home in the other side. But Jesus is here today”he said in Matt 11:28 come unto me”. That invariably means, bring out the origin of the stench in your life. Open up and I will wash you. I will give you rest from carrying blankets of covering about(sin).

 Expose the devil today friends. Today is the day of grace. Cry out to Jesus while he’s yet near! He’ll answer you!
